February was an especially busy month for us! Forward View analyst Michael Williams attended the Miami International Boat Show and a business presentation by Brunswick to gather field research on fresh marine technologies. Our Newell Brands earnings analysis discussed a biz named for a rodent, fragrant candle sales and how Yeti is eating Coleman's lunch right out of the cooler. Forward View's 4Q earnings estimate for Cabela's was ranked #1 by Estimize, and we have consistently ranked in the top ten of all forecasters in the Estimize Wide World of Sports league (focused on sporting goods and recreation companies). We have a 7.3% average error rate, beating the typical analyst in four out of the last five quarters. (In the quarter where we fell below our norm, we were engaged in updating our proprietary model.)
In February, we also launched: https://sportinggoodsmonitor.com/ In March, we'll connect our research distribution system to our new secure website so clients can enjoy a direct portal to our analyses. We also updated https://www.forwardviewconsulting.com/ with a fresh design and new presentation of our services.
